Adding FBM shipping rates in SellerMagnet is a crucial step for ensuring accurate profit calculations. FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) shipping rates are the costs you pay to your shipping provider for sending a package. These costs directly impact your profit margin, making it essential to record them accurately. Note that this only applies to FBM orders, as FBA orders (Fulfilled by Amazon) have shipping costs calculated directly by Amazon.
Why are Shipping Rates Important?
Shipping rates allow you to set different shipping costs for various countries or package sizes. For example, a package within Germany might cost €4, while shipping to France could cost €10. You can create two separate shipping rates for each destination to ensure that costs are calculated correctly based on the destination.
1. Add New Shipping Rates
To add a new shipping rate, navigate to the settings section and click on 'Shipping Rates'. Here, you will see an overview of your existing rates and can add a new rate by clicking 'New Route'.

When you click 'New Route', a popup window opens where you can enter the details for your new shipping rate. Here’s an explanation of each field:

Assigning Shipping Rates to Products
For shipping rates to be applied in orders, you need to assign the created rates to specific products. To do this, navigate to the Products tab at https://dashboard.sellermagnet.com/products. Select the product you want to set the shipping rate for and click on the three dots to the right. Then, choose 'Select Shipping Rate'.
4. Select a Shipping Rate
In the next step, you can assign one of the created shipping rates to the selected product. Once assigned, this rate will automatically be applied to future orders for this product, ensuring accurate profit calculations.
