Seller Fulfilled Prime Germany 2026: New Prime Eligibility Criteria

Last updated: Nov 03, 2026
Since September 7, 2026, two of the four Seller Fulfilled Prime product tiers in Germany are judged against a faster delivery-speed bar, and the change reaches further than Seller Fulfilled Prime alone. Amazon's own update applies the same new numbers to Fulfilled by Amazon, Fulfilled by Merchant and Amazon Retail offers in the Germany store, because EU Prime eligibility and badging rules treat all three delivery services equally. If your Standard-size or Low-price catalog in Germany was comfortably clearing the old bar, it is worth re-checking: a percentage that used to pass can now sit just under the new one without a single delivery actually getting slower. This guide works from Amazon's own Germany Seller Central announcement and its updated Seller Prime programs policy to lay out exactly what changed, which product tiers it touches, and how to check your own numbers before the next weekly assessment.
Since September 7, 2026, Amazon raised the delivery-speed requirements for Standard-size and Low-price Seller Prime offers in the Germany store. Both tiers now need at least 15% of delivery promises within 1 day (up from 10%) and at least 50% within 2 days (up from 45%); the 80% within 4 days requirement is unchanged. The update applies equally to FBA, Fulfilled by Merchant and Amazon Retail offers in Germany. Oversize, Extra-large and cross-border targets are not affected.

What exactly changed on September 7, and for whom?

Amazon's Germany Seller Central help page states it plainly: "On September 7, 2026, we'll update Prime eligibility criteria for Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Fulfilled by Merchant, and Amazon Retail offers in Germany," adding that "these updates ensure that our Prime delivery experience continues to meet the high expectations of Prime members in our EU stores." The scope line matters: this is not a Seller Fulfilled Prime-only change. Amazon's own Seller Prime programs policy confirms Prime eligibility and badging requirements "apply to FBA, Amazon retail, and seller-fulfilled Prime offers equally" under its European Commission agreement, so a Fulfilled-by-Merchant seller using Seller Fulfilled Prime is held to the same new numbers as Amazon's own retail offers and FBA listings in the same product tier.
Delivery speed promise New requirement (Germany, domestic) Previous requirement
Within 1 day >=15% 10%
Within 2 days >=50% 45%
Within 4 days >=80% (no change) 80%
Germany Seller Fulfilled Prime delivery speed thresholds from September 7, 2026: 15 percent within 1 day, 50 percent within 2 days, 80 percent within 4 days for Standard-size and Low-price domestic offers
Only Standard-size and Low-price, only domestic
The updated Germany policy applies these 2 new numbers to Standard-size and Low-price DOMESTIC offers only. Cross-border targets for the same 2 tiers (3/4/6-day thresholds) are unchanged, and Oversize and Extra-large keep their existing domestic and cross-border numbers. Check which product tier and shipping direction an ASIN falls into before assuming the new bar applies to it.

The 4 Prime product tiers, and where Low-price fits

Amazon's Seller Prime programs policy defines 4 product tiers by weight, dimensions and, for one tier, price. A seller can enroll into one, two, three or all four tiers, and each is assessed on its own weekly numbers. Low-price is easy to miss: it shares Standard-size's weight and dimension envelope, but is defined separately by price, which is why the September 7 change lists it as its own line next to Standard-size rather than folding it in.
Tier Weight and dimensions Price (Germany)
Standard-size <=11.9 kg, length <=45.5 cm, width <=34 cm, height <=26.4 cm N/A
Low-price Same envelope as Standard-size Average listing price (incl. VAT), last 30 days: <=EUR 11
Oversize 11.9-23 kg, or length 45.5-175 cm, width >34 cm, height >26.4 cm N/A
Extra-large >=23 kg, or longest side >=175 cm, or girth >360 cm N/A
The 4 Amazon Prime product tiers in Germany: Standard-size, Low-price, Oversize, Extra-large, by weight, dimensions and price
Girth is length plus 2 times the sum of width and height. None of the 4 tier definitions themselves changed on September 7; what changed is only the delivery-speed bar that 2 of the 4 tiers (Standard-size and Low-price) must clear to stay Prime eligible in Germany.

What stays the same: the other 3 weekly requirements

Delivery speed promise is one of four requirements Amazon assesses weekly, per product tier, to maintain Seller Prime eligibility, and only the delivery-speed numbers moved on September 7. On-time delivery rate, measured as the share of units attempted for delivery on or before the promised date, must stay at or above 92%. Valid tracking rate (VTR), the share of shipped packages for which Amazon receives a valid carrier tracking number, must stay at or above 99%. Cancellation rate, units canceled before shipping confirmation, must stay at or below 0.5%. Amazon's performance-assessment page (G201812270) adds the enforcement path for any of the 4 requirements: a first miss in a tier draws a warning, a second miss on the same metric within 28 days draws a second warning, and a third miss within 28 days of the second suspends that specific product tier, with reinstatement only through a new trial period for that tier.

Worked example: a Standard-size tier that quietly stopped passing

The figures below are a hypothetical example, not real seller data, built to show how the new numbers change a pass/fail outcome. A German seller's Standard-size domestic offers received 500 Prime customer page views in a week. 55 of them (11%) showed a delivery promise within 1 day, 240 (48% cumulative) within 2 days, and 410 (82% cumulative) within 4 days. Under the old bar (10%/45%/80%), every one of those 3 numbers passed. Under the bar that took effect September 7, 2026 (15%/50%/80%), the same seller, with the exact same shipping performance, now fails both the 1-day and the 2-day requirement and only clears the 4-day one.
The same seller's Low-price domestic offers, a separate tier with 150 page views that week, showed 30 (20%) within 1 day, 90 (60% cumulative) within 2 days and 135 (90% cumulative) within 4 days, clearing all 3 new thresholds with room to spare. Because each tier is assessed on its own weekly numbers, the Standard-size shortfall does not pull down the Low-price tier, and fixing one does not fix the other: a seller has to check both tiers separately, not read one blended delivery-speed number for the whole account.

Common mistakes sellers make with this update

  • Assuming this only affects Seller Fulfilled Prime. The September 7 update names FBA and Amazon Retail offers in Germany too; an FBA seller whose Standard-size catalog sat near the old bar is in scope just the same.
  • Checking only the 1-day number. The 2-day threshold moved by the same 5 points and is the one more likely to sit right on the new line in a worked example like the one above.
  • Not knowing which tier an offer is in. Low-price is defined by price (EUR 11 or less, average, incl. VAT, Germany), not just by weight and size; a Standard-size-sized item below that price is in the Low-price tier, which carries the exact same new numbers.
  • Reading one blended delivery-speed percentage for the whole catalog. Standard-size and Low-price are separate tiers with separate weekly numbers; a healthy Low-price percentage says nothing about Standard-size.
  • Treating the unchanged 4-day requirement as proof nothing changed. 2 of the 3 thresholds moved; a seller who only tracks the 4-day number can clear it every week while quietly failing the new 1-day and 2-day bars.
  • Assuming cross-border or Oversize/Extra-large numbers moved too. This update only touches Standard-size and Low-price DOMESTIC targets in Germany.

Checklist before your next weekly assessment

  • Pulled the current 1-day, 2-day and 4-day delivery speed promise percentages for Standard-size domestic offers in Germany.
  • Pulled the same 3 numbers for Low-price domestic offers in Germany (checked which ASINs actually sit in this tier by price, not just by size).
  • Compared both sets of numbers against 15% / 50% / 80%, not the old 10% / 45% bar.
  • Confirmed on-time delivery rate, VTR and cancellation rate are still at or above/below their own bars (92% / 99% / <=0.5%) in both tiers, since a speed fix that slows down handling can hurt on-time delivery instead.
  • Checked the Account Health > Eligibilities tab for any first or second warning on either tier before it reaches a third miss within 28 days.
  • Repeated the check for any other EU store this seller runs Seller Prime offers in, since each store's own policy page carries its own numbers.
Checklist to prepare for the Germany Seller Fulfilled Prime delivery speed eligibility change effective September 7, 2026

How to check your Germany delivery speed numbers

Check your Germany Prime delivery speed against the September 7, 2026 thresholds

  1. Open Account Health - In Seller Central, go to Performance, then Account Health, then the Eligibilities tab.
  2. Find your current delivery speed promise percentages - Check the 1-day, 2-day and 4-day cumulative percentages for Standard-size and Low-price domestic offers in Germany separately.
  3. Compare against the new thresholds - Standard-size and Low-price both now need >=15% within 1 day, >=50% within 2 days, and >=80% within 4 days.
  4. Check which ASINs sit in the Low-price tier - Confirm the average listing price (incl. VAT) over the last 30 days for each Standard-size-sized ASIN; EUR 11 or less puts it in the Low-price tier.
  5. Review on-time delivery, VTR and cancellation rate too - A fix to delivery speed (faster carrier, earlier cutoff) should not push on-time delivery below 92% or cancellation rate above 0.5%.
  6. Repeat per marketplace - If you also run Seller Prime offers in other EU stores, check that store's own policy numbers; this update is Germany-specific.

Where SellerMagnet fits next to your Seller Prime dashboard

Amazon's own Account Health Eligibilities tab is where you read the delivery-speed numbers described above. SellerMagnet covers the profit and listing side next to it. The Analytics Dashboard shows net profit per order, product and marketplace after Amazon fees, COGS, shipping, VAT, refunds and your own expenses, by marketplace, so you can see what a faster (and often pricier) carrier choice on a Germany Standard-size or Low-price SKU actually does to margin before committing to it.
Cancellation rate is one of the 4 requirements that stays weekly and per-tier under this update. Offer Watch checks your whole connected catalogue automatically for new sellers, Buy Box losses, undercuts and suppressed listings; its base check runs once a day, so treat it as a daily signal rather than an instant alert while you work through a Germany-specific fix.

What changed for Seller Prime in Germany on September 7, 2026?

Amazon raised the delivery-speed bar for Standard-size and Low-price domestic offers in Germany: at least 15% of promises must now land within 1 day, up from 10%, and at least 50% within 2 days, up from 45%. The 80% within 4 days requirement stayed the same. Oversize, Extra-large and cross-border targets are untouched.

Does this only apply to Seller Fulfilled Prime sellers?

No. Amazon's own announcement names Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Fulfilled by Merchant and Amazon Retail offers in Germany together, not Seller Fulfilled Prime in isolation. Prime eligibility and badging rules apply equally across all 3 delivery services under Amazon's European Commission agreement, so an FBA seller's Standard-size or Low-price catalog in Germany is held to the exact same new percentages.

Does Oversize or Extra-large change too?

No. The September 7 update only raises the domestic delivery-speed thresholds for the Standard-size and Low-price product tiers in Germany. Oversize and Extra-large keep their existing domestic numbers (unrelated to this change), and every cross-border target for all 4 tiers, including Standard-size and Low-price, is also left exactly as it was before.

What makes an offer Low-price instead of Standard-size?

The same weight and dimension limits as Standard-size, plus an average listing price, including VAT, over the last 30 days of EUR 11 or less in Germany. Low-price and Standard-size are assessed as separate product tiers with their own weekly numbers, even though the September 7 update happens to give both of them the exact same new delivery-speed thresholds.

What happens if I miss the delivery speed requirement?

Amazon's enforcement is tier-specific and weekly: a first miss on a requirement draws a warning, a second miss on that requirement within 28 days draws a second warning, and a third miss within 28 days of the second suspends eligibility for that specific product tier only. Reinstatement needs a brand-new trial period for that tier, not the whole account.

Are on-time delivery rate, tracking rate and cancellation rate changing too?

No. Those 3 requirements are unchanged by the September 7 update: on-time delivery rate must stay at or above 92%, valid tracking rate at or above 99%, and cancellation rate at or below 0.5%. All 3 continue to be assessed weekly, per product tier, exactly as before this change to the delivery-speed numbers.

Where do I see my current Germany delivery speed numbers?

In Seller Central, go to Performance, then Account Health, then open the Eligibilities tab; the delivery speed promise percentages are broken out by product tier there, so you can read Standard-size and Low-price separately instead of one blended number for every Prime offer you run in the Germany store.

Is this the same change as the UK Seller Fulfilled Prime update?

No. The UK change, effective October 30, 2026, moved existing requirements from account-level to tier-level scoring and introduced 2 brand-new metrics; it never touched the German delivery-speed percentages at all. This September 7, 2026 Germany update instead raises the delivery-speed thresholds themselves for 2 tiers; the two changes are unrelated and apply to entirely different Amazon stores.
This post covers only the Germany Standard-size and Low-price delivery-speed update effective September 7, 2026. For the UK's own Seller Fulfilled Prime tier-level scoring change, see our guide to UK Seller Fulfilled Prime requirements. The US store runs its own separate page-view delivery-speed thresholds (different numbers, different market).
