Amazon MCF Preferred Pricing Program 2026

Since 15 January 2026, Multi-Channel Fulfillment has carried its own discount program on top of the standard rate card: the MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing Program cuts outbound fulfillment fees by up to 15% and pays an FBA credit of up to $1 per unit shipped, stacked automatically once a seller is enrolled. Most sellers who read about it only from a seller forum post or a dashboard banner never see the full eligibility math or the rolling 12-week calculation that decides which tier they sit in. This guide works through Amazon's own program page: who qualifies, how the 6-month and 12-month tracks differ, how the discount and credit are actually calculated week to week, and a worked example that turns the percentages into real dollars.
The Amazon MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing Program discounts Multi-Channel Fulfillment outbound fulfillment fees by up to 15% and pays up to $1 FBA credit per unit shipped. New or low-volume MCF sellers get a flat 6-month track; sellers already shipping 1,200 to 23,000 MCF units in a rolling 12 weeks get a 12-month track with five volume tiers. Enrollment happens on the Your Incentives page in Seller Central, and eligibility is recalculated weekly from your trailing 12-week shipped units.

What the MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing Program actually is

Amazon's program page frames it simply: with 2026 Preferred Pricing, alongside the separate New Seller Incentive (NSI) program, you lower fulfillment costs on every MCF shipment while earning FBA credits at the same time. It sits on top of the standard Multi-Channel Fulfillment pricing page rather than replacing it; the discount is expressed as a percentage applied to whatever outbound fulfillment fee is in effect at the moment you ship, so the dollar saving moves with the published rate card, not with a frozen number from your enrollment date.
A 24 September 2026 Amazon announcement paired this program with a second, related offering: Amazon now lets MCF merchants add fast, free Prime delivery to their own website at no additional cost, on top of the Preferred Pricing discount. The two are separate benefits, both scoped to MCF merchants selling in the US, and both can run at once.
US-only as of this writing
The Preferred Pricing program and its terms and conditions both state explicitly, "This article applies to selling in: United States." Amazon's own announcement states the Prime-on-your-website offering is "currently available for businesses selling in the US and shipping to US addresses." Sellers on other Amazon stores should check their own marketplace's Seller Central help for whether an equivalent program exists.

The two tracks: 6-month flat rate vs. 12-month volume tiers

Amazon splits the program into two durations with different eligibility rules and different payout shapes.
6-month program 12-month program
Who qualifies Enrolled in MCF NSI with 100+ MCF units shipped on or after 15 Oct 2025, OR started an MCF API integration on or after 15 Oct 2025, OR an established FBA seller who shipped 5,800+ FBA units and fewer than 1,200 MCF units in the past 12 weeks Shipped between 1,200 and 23,000 MCF units in the past 12 weeks
Discount Flat 15% on MCF outbound fulfillment fees 5% to 15%, based on which volume tier you fall into
FBA credit $1 per MCF unit shipped, capped at $50,000 in total credit $0.25 to $1 per unit, based on tier, up to your first 100,000 units
Cap Runs 6 months; FBA credit capped at $50,000 total (no stated cap on the 15% discount) First 100,000 MCF units shipped or 12 months, whichever comes first
The two tracks are not independent choices: Amazon states that sellers who qualify for both will start on the 6-month benefits and transition automatically to the 12-month benefits once they meet the 12-month eligibility volume, with no re-enrollment needed. A seller who completes the 6-month program and still ships between 1,200 and 23,000 MCF units per 12-week window rolls straight into the 12-month program.

The 12-month volume tiers

For sellers on the 12-month track, Amazon recalculates your discount and credit every week from your trailing 12-week MCF unit count. Five bands apply:
MCF units shipped (rolling 12 weeks) Benefit for the following week
Below 1,200 units No MCF discount or FBA credit
1,200-7,000 units 5% MCF discount + $0.25 FBA credit per unit
7,001-13,000 units 8% MCF discount + $0.50 FBA credit per unit
13,001-19,000 units 12% MCF discount + $0.75 FBA credit per unit
Over 19,001 units 15% MCF discount + $1 FBA credit per unit
Amazon MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing 12-month volume tiers: below 1,200 units no discount, up to over 19,001 units for 15% discount plus $1 FBA credit per unit
Source: Multi-Channel Fulfillment 2026 Preferred Pricing, Amazon Seller Central help. The calculation window is specific: for each seven-day period starting on a Saturday and ending on a Friday, Amazon totals the units you shipped over the 12-week period that ended a week before that calculation. In plain terms, your tier this week was set by your shipping activity through roughly two weeks ago, not by what you shipped yesterday. A seller who ramps MCF volume sharply should expect a one-to-two week lag before the higher tier's discount shows up.

How enrollment works

  • Automatic enrollment (no action needed): you are enrolled in the 6-month program if you are in the MCF NSI program with 100+ MCF units shipped on or after 15 October 2025, or you started an MCF API integration on or after that date.
  • Invitation-based enrollment: starting 15 January 2026, Amazon emails invitations to sellers who meet the unit requirements but are not auto-enrolled. You have 30 days from the invitation to enroll, and the window expires at 4pm PST / 7pm EST on the deadline day.
  • Where to enroll: the Your Incentives page in Seller Central (sellercentral.amazon.com/incentives), reachable from a homepage recommendation card or a notification banner on the FBA inventory or order page. Select the 6-month or 12-month program you are eligible for and click Enroll.
  • Processing time: Amazon says enrollment is typically processed within 5 minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours in some cases; refresh the Your Incentives page rather than assuming the click failed.
  • Auto-transition to 12 months: if you complete the 6-month program and meet the 12-month eligibility, Amazon auto-enrolls you with no opt-in action required.
One program at a time, no stacking with another MCF discount
Amazon's terms and conditions state only one Preferred Pricing program may be active at once, and you cannot participate in any other MCF discount program simultaneously. One per-order exception: an order identified as a TikTok Shop order gets the TikTok Shop promotion instead of Preferred Pricing for that order, while every other order keeps earning Preferred Pricing; TikTok Shop units still count toward your unit thresholds but earn no FBA credit. A seller account must also stay in good credit standing, and only accounts with a Seller Central payable account can receive the FBA credit at all; without one, you forfeit the credit even if the fee discount still applies.

Worked example: what the discount and credit are worth

A seller on the 6-month program ships 2,000 MCF units in a month, at an average outbound fulfillment fee of $4.80 per unit before any discount. The 6-month program's flat 15% discount and $1-per-unit credit apply to every one of those units, since the discount has no stated unit cap and the account's FBA credit stays well under the $50,000 total cap.
Without Preferred Pricing With 6-month Preferred Pricing
Fee per unit $4.80 $4.08 (15% off)
Fulfillment fee cost (2,000 units) $9,600.00 $8,160.00
FBA credit earned $0.00 $2,000.00 ($1 x 2,000 units)
Net fulfillment cost after FBA credit $9,600.00 $6,160.00
Worked example: 2,000 MCF units at $4.80 per unit, 15% discount drops the fee to $4.08, plus $2,000 FBA credit, for a combined benefit of $3,440 in one month
The fee discount alone saves $1,440.00 that month, and the FBA credit adds another $2,000.00, for a combined benefit of $3,440.00 against a baseline MCF bill of $9,600.00. That is real margin back on orders you are already fulfilling through MCF; the catch is that it only applies while you stay enrolled, so the benefit is not something to assume will repeat indefinitely at the same rate once the 6-month program's 6-month window ends or its FBA credit reaches the $50,000 cap, whichever comes first.

Timeline: enrollment opens, caps, and when it ends

Amazon MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing timeline: eligibility window from 15 October 2025, enrollment opens 15 January 2026, weekly tier recalculation, 6-month track ends after 6 months with its FBA credit capped at $50,000, 12-month track benefits end at 100,000 units or 12 months
  • 15 October 2025: the eligibility lookback window begins (MCF NSI units shipped, or MCF API integration started, on or after this date).
  • 15 January 2026: enrollment opens; both automatic enrollment and the first wave of email invitations begin from this date.
  • Weekly: Amazon recalculates eligibility and, for 12-month sellers, the applicable tier, every week from the trailing 12-week unit count.
  • 6 months: the 6-month track ends here; its FBA credit stops earlier if it reaches the $50,000 cap first.
  • 100,000 units or 12 months: whichever comes first ends the 12-month program's benefits.
  • Over 23,000 MCF units in the past 12 weeks: this seller is above the 12-month program's top eligibility threshold and should contact an MCF account manager or Amazon's pricing contact form for a custom pricing contract instead.

Who should check their eligibility first

  • Sellers already using MCF to fulfill off-Amazon orders (own website, other marketplaces, social commerce) at meaningful volume, since the discount and credit apply automatically with no behavior change required.
  • FBA sellers who have not tried MCF yet but ship 5,800+ FBA units in 12 weeks, since that volume alone can qualify for the 6-month program even with zero MCF history today.
  • Sellers integrating a new storefront or MCF API connection, since starting that integration itself can trigger automatic 6-month eligibility.
  • Anyone who received an invitation email and let it sit, since that specific 30-day window closes; Amazon still reassesses eligibility weekly, and an eligible seller also sees the Enroll button directly on the Your Incentives page without needing the original email.

Common mistakes with MCF Preferred Pricing

  • Assuming the discount is a one-time coupon rather than a continuously recalculated rate tied to a rolling 12-week unit count.
  • Not setting up a Seller Central payable account, which forfeits the FBA credit portion even while the fee discount still applies.
  • Enrolling in, or trying to stack, a second MCF discount program at the same time, which the terms and conditions prohibit (the one documented exception: a TikTok Shop order earns the TikTok Shop promotion instead of Preferred Pricing for that order, while every other order keeps earning Preferred Pricing as normal).
  • Treating last week's tier as fixed, when a volume swing two weeks ago is what is actually setting this week's discount and credit rate.
  • Letting an invitation email expire without enrolling: that specific invitation does not reopen, though Amazon reassesses eligibility weekly and an eligible seller also sees the Enroll button directly on the Your Incentives page.
  • Planning cash flow around the credit indefinitely: the 6-month track ends after 6 months (its FBA credit also stops at $50,000 total), and the 12-month track ends at 100,000 units or 12 months, whichever comes first.

How to check and enroll in MCF Preferred Pricing, step by step

Check eligibility and enroll in MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing

  1. Open Your Incentives - In Seller Central, go to sellercentral.amazon.com/incentives, or click the homepage recommendation card or the FBA inventory/order page notification banner.
  2. Look for the program title - Find "MCF Preferred Pricing - 6-Month" or "MCF Preferred Pricing - 12-Month." A status of "Eligible" means you can enroll now.
  3. Click Enroll - Select the program you qualify for and click Enroll. Processing is typically under 5 minutes but can take up to 24 hours; refresh the page rather than clicking again.
  4. Confirm a payable account exists - Make sure your Seller Central account has an active payable account, or the FBA credit portion of the benefit cannot be paid out even once enrolled.
  5. Check status monthly - Revisit Your Incentives to confirm "Active" status and watch for an auto-transition from the 6-month to the 12-month program as your MCF volume grows.
See the margin impact before you commit more volume to MCF. SellerMagnet's Profit Analytics dashboard shows every fulfillment fee alongside the order it belongs to, so a Preferred Pricing discount or FBA credit shows up directly in your real per-unit economics rather than as a separate line you have to reconcile by hand. Our guide to what changed in MCF in 2026 covers the packaging and SIPP default changes alongside this Preferred Pricing headline, and the FBA fees table covers the standard FBA side for comparison.

Pre-enrollment checklist

  • Your Incentives page checked today for an "Eligible" MCF Preferred Pricing status, not from an old note.
  • Seller Central payable account confirmed active, so the FBA credit can actually be paid.
  • No other MCF discount program currently active on the account (only one Preferred Pricing program runs at a time).
  • Trailing 12-week MCF unit count estimated, to anticipate which of the five 12-month tiers you are likely to land in.
  • Invitation email (if received) enrolled within its 30-day window, not left for later.
  • Calendar reminder set near your track's end: the 6-month program's 6-month mark or its $50,000 FBA-credit cap, or the 12-month program's 100,000-unit or 12-month mark, to plan for standard pricing resuming.

What is the Amazon MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing Program?

A discount program for Multi-Channel Fulfillment, launched 15 January 2026, that cuts MCF outbound fulfillment fees by up to 15% and pays an FBA credit of up to $1 per unit shipped, applied automatically once you are enrolled.

How do I know which track I qualify for?

The 6-month program covers MCF NSI members with 100+ units shipped since 15 October 2025, sellers who started an MCF API integration since that date, or established FBA sellers shipping 5,800+ FBA units and under 1,200 MCF units in 12 weeks. The 12-month program covers sellers already shipping 1,200 to 23,000 MCF units in a rolling 12-week period.

How often does my discount tier change?

Weekly. Amazon recalculates your trailing 12-week MCF unit count every week, for a seven-day period running Saturday to Friday, using data through roughly two weeks prior, and sets your benefit tier for the following week from that total.

Can I combine Preferred Pricing with another MCF discount?

No. The program's terms and conditions state only one Preferred Pricing program can be active at a time, and you cannot participate in any other MCF discount program simultaneously. The one documented exception is per order: a TikTok Shop order uses the TikTok Shop promotion instead of Preferred Pricing for that order, while every other order keeps earning Preferred Pricing as normal; TikTok Shop units still count toward your unit thresholds but earn no FBA credit on that order.

Do I need a Seller Central payable account to get the FBA credit?

Yes. Sellers without a Seller Central payable account forfeit the right to receive any FBA credit, even though the fee discount itself can still apply.

When does the benefit end?

The 6-month program runs for 6 months from enrollment; its 15% fee discount has no stated unit cap, but its FBA credit stops once it reaches $50,000 in total (50,000 units of credit at $1 each). The 12-month program's benefits apply to your first 100,000 MCF units shipped or 12 months from enrollment, whichever comes first.

What if I ship more than 23,000 MCF units in 12 weeks?

That is above the 12-month program's top eligibility tier. Amazon directs these sellers to contact their MCF account manager or fill out the pricing contact form to discuss a custom pricing contract instead.

Is this program available outside the United States?

As of this writing, Amazon's program page and terms both state the article applies to selling in the United States. Check your own store's Seller Central help for whether an equivalent program exists elsewhere.
